I wonder if there are any steampunk1)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk beekeepers out there. They would favor late 18th century tools like those described here.
When other farm and light industrial tasks harnessed steam power, so did beekeeping. There were steam wax extractors and steam uncapping knives, among other devices, in the late 1800s.
